Moles/Warts/Lumps/Scars
Removal of moles, warts and lumps/cysts are by far the most common operations in Plastic surgery. They could be removed if they have undergone change in appearance and / or size or simply for cosmetic reasons. The majority of the cases can be done under a local anaesthetic (you are awake). The scars tend to settle very well, however in a small number of patients the scar can be red and lumpy.
It is s safer practice that when removed, they are sent for histology (to be tested).
